We’re about to wave goodbye to our ’11 history majors. Here’s a sample of their plans for the immediate future.
Rob Avruch: I’ll be initially working in Hanover as a summer organizer for President Obama’s reelection campaign and hope to continue on the campaign come this fall.
Lauren Bowman: I will be attending Cornell Law School in the fall.
John Burden: I’ll be pursuing a (funded!) M.A. in Medieval Studies at Fordham University and possibly applying to Ph.D. programs for the next year.
Sarah Frostenson: I will be in South Africa working on food security initiatives through a Fulbright Grant.
Maya Granit: I will be in New York City working as at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.
David Irving: I am off to Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS to pursue a Master of Divinity degree in preparation for a career in pastoral ministry.
Neel Joshi: I am doing investment banking at Goldman Sachs after graduation…
Ellen McDevitt: I’ll be working at Maine Huts and Trails, a backcountry hut system near Flagstaff Lake, Maine (close to Sugarloaf Outdoor Center). I’ll be there until November. Not sure what I’m doing after that.
Kevin Mallen: I will be attending Columbia Law School.
Nadine Moezinia: I will be in New York City paralegaling at Paul, Weiss law firm
Fernando Rodriguez-Villa: I will be starting as an Investment Banking Analyst for JP Morgan in London next Fall.
Claire Scott: I received a Fulbright grant for next year and will be living and working in Munich. I will be doing a research project looking at the experiences of women in Displaced Persons camps after World War II. More specifically, I hope to examine the role of motherhood and childbirth in these women’s lives and gain a better understanding of how their role as mothers relates to their experiences as Holocaust survivors and/or as DPs.
John Steele: I am working as a research assistant on the Sports Medicine and Shoulder Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. I am also applying to medical schools throughout the course of the year, for a Fall 2012 entry.
Henry Yan: I will be working in as a paralegal at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel in New York City for two years and then I will be attending law school.
Good luck to you all and please, do keep in touch.
